Passport

passport image

Rusty has had a passport for sometime because of work, but I never had a reason to go and get one (just hopes and dreams, but no real reason), until now!  I have officially applied for my passport and should receive it back in 4-6 weeks.

Haiti

After much prayer and consideration, Rusty and I have found that God is calling us to quite a few things in this coming year.  We would love for you to join us in prayer as we step out in faith.  Faith in God's ability to provide the funding to travel abroad, to care for orphans locally, to bring alternative energy (via Stillwater) to Haiti and Ethiopia.  We are moving in this direction as a family because God takes us as his children, he protects us, he loves us and he asks us to do the same for others. We are so excited to be walking in this path.

Isaiah 61:1 - The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners....

James 1:27 - Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.

We will be traveling to Child Hope International's Maison de Lumiere in Haiti this March and later in the year (most likely in the summer) we are planning a trip to Ethiopia.  We hope to travel frequently to these two locations and although we are leaving the kids behind during these first trips, we plan to bring them along in the future.

We welcome your questions, thoughts and prayers.

Thank you for joining us on this journey.
